Raspberry Pi 5, 8GB
Product Details
Overview
The Raspberry Pi 5 is the fastest board Raspberry Pi has ever shipped. A 2.4 GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 CPU (Broadcom BCM2712) delivers roughly three times the CPU performance of the Raspberry Pi 4, paired with a VideoCore VII GPU supporting OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.2.
Camera, display and USB interfacing are all handled by the RP1 I/O controller — the first piece of Raspberry Pi's own silicon to appear on a flagship board. The power-management IC adds a real-time clock with a connector for a button cell, so the clock keeps running while main power is disconnected. Two four-lane MIPI connectors each accept either a camera or a display, and a PCIe 2.0 interface opens the door to NVMe storage.
This is the 8 GB model — a versatile single-board computer for DIY projects, teaching, media centres, home servers, light desktop use and IoT applications of every kind.
