Official Raspberry Pi Pico W with GPIO Headers
Product Details
Overview
The Raspberry Pi Pico W is Raspberry Pi's first wireless microcontroller board, built around the RP2040 chip designed in-house in the United Kingdom. Unlike a single-board computer, a microcontroller runs no operating system — it boots straight into your program, which makes it fast, predictable and perfect as the brain of a custom device.
The addition of an on-board 2.4 GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi interface is what changes the game: your projects can now talk to each other and to the internet. With a dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ running at up to 133 MHz, 264 KB of SRAM and 2 MB of on-board flash, there is ample room for MicroPython, CircuitPython or C/C++ firmware. Drag-and-drop programming over USB mass storage means you can flash a new build without any extra tools.
Key Features
- Wireless connectivity — On-board single-band 2.4 GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi for IoT applications and wireless data transfer
- Dual-core processor — RP2040 with two Arm Cortex-M0+ cores, flexible clock up to 133 MHz
- Memory — 264 KB SRAM and 2 MB QSPI flash on board
- Rich I/O — 26 multifunction GPIO pins, 2 × SPI, 2 × I²C, 2 × UART, 3 × 12-bit ADC and 16 controllable PWM channels
- Programmable I/O — 8 PIO state machines for custom peripherals and protocols
- Easy programming — Drag-and-drop firmware over USB mass storage; USB 1.1 host and device support
- Low power — Sleep and dormant modes suit battery-powered designs
- Flexible mounting — Castellated edges allow the module to be soldered directly onto a carrier board
