Overview
The Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ packs the processing power of the Model B+ into the smaller, lower-cost A+ form factor. It runs the same Broadcom BCM2837B0 quad-core Cortex-A53 64-bit SoC at 1.4 GHz, with dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2 / BLE on board.
Compared with the Model B+, the A+ drops the Ethernet jack and three of the four USB ports to save space and power. Everything else stays: the same 40-pin GPIO header, the CSI camera and DSI display connectors, and full compatibility with existing HATs, cameras and accessories. It runs Raspberry Pi OS and other Linux distributions, making it a capable board for headless projects, classroom work and embedded builds where size and power draw matter.
