Overview
The NodeMCU V3.0 development board is built around the ESP8266 ESP-12E module and brings GPIO, PWM, I²C, 1-Wire and ADC together on a single board. That integration is the point: you can drive motors and LEDs, read sensors and talk to Wi-Fi without bolting on extra hardware.
The ESP8266 combines strong performance with very low power consumption, which makes it a natural fit for IoT nodes, smart-home automation and light industrial monitoring. The board ships pre-loaded with NodeMCU firmware, so you can start writing Lua scripts straight away — or reflash it and use the Arduino IDE, MicroPython or the Espressif SDK instead.
