About this product
Overview
This ESP-WROOM-32 development board breaks the ESP32 module out onto a 30-pin header with a USB Type-C connector and a Silicon Labs CP2102 USB-to-serial bridge — a combination that makes programming and debugging refreshingly painless on any modern laptop.
The ESP32 itself is a dual-core 32-bit Xtensa LX6 processor running at up to 240 MHz with 520 KB of SRAM, integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.2 BR/EDR and BLE. On top of that you get plenty of I²C, I²S, SPI and UART interfaces, multiple ADC and DAC channels, capacitive touch inputs, PWM outputs and hardware-accelerated encryption. Program it with the Arduino IDE, MicroPython, ESP-IDF, ESPHome, Tasmota or Mongoose OS.
Supplied as a 2-pack — one to build with, one to keep in the parts drawer.
Key Features
- Modern USB Type-C with CP2102 bridge — Reliable power and programming over a single cable, with a well-supported driver on Windows, macOS and Linux
- Compact 30-pin board — Small enough to drop into a finished enclosure, with plenty of pins for sensors, relays and displays
- Dual-core performance — Xtensa LX6 dual-core running at up to 240 MHz for demanding IoT workloads
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in — 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n plus Bluetooth 4.2 BR/EDR and BLE
- Versatile interfaces — SPI, I²C, I²S and UART, plus ADC, DAC, PWM and capacitive touch pins
- Security — Hardware-accelerated AES, SHA-2, ECC and RSA, with WPA / WPA2 PSK and Enterprise support
- Two boards included — Ideal for paired projects such as a sensor node and a receiver
