Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 [A000067]
Product Details
Overview
When a project outgrows an Uno, the Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 is the usual next step. It keeps the familiar Arduino workflow but hands you 54 digital I/O pins, 16 analogue inputs and four hardware serial ports — room for the kind of build where you simply run out of pins on a smaller board.
The ATmega2560 runs at 16 MHz with 256 KB of flash, 8 KB of SRAM and 4 KB of EEPROM, so there is space for large sketches and the libraries that come with them. It is the board of choice for 3D printers, multi-axis robotics, home-automation controllers and anything that has to talk to several devices at once.
Key Features
- ATmega2560 microcontroller — 8-bit AVR at 16 MHz with 256 KB flash, 8 KB SRAM and 4 KB EEPROM
- 54 digital I/O pins — 15 of them usable as PWM outputs
- 16 analogue inputs — 10-bit resolution for sensors of every kind
- Four hardware UARTs — Talk to several serial peripherals at once without software serial workarounds
- Simple USB programming — Upload sketches and open a serial monitor straight from the Arduino IDE
- Shield compatible — Works with most Uno shields as well as Mega-specific ones
