Official BBC micro:bit V2.21 with Protective Case
Product Details
Overview
The BBC micro:bit V2 is a small, programmable computer designed to get children and young people into coding and electronics in a hands-on way. Created by the BBC in partnership with a range of technology brands, it has become the standard board for classrooms, STEM clubs and coding clubs around the world.
Measuring only 4 × 5 cm, it packs an Arm Cortex-M4 processor with 512 KB of flash and a genuinely useful set of inputs and outputs: a 5 × 5 LED matrix, two buttons, a built-in speaker and microphone, a touch-sensitive logo, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a temperature sensor and a sleep / off mode.
It works with a wide choice of free online editors — from MakeCode blocks for absolute beginners through to MicroPython — so the same board suits a first lesson and a serious project. Thousands of free projects and lesson plans are available online. This listing is the official V2.21 board supplied with a frosted protective case.
