Overview

The Raspberry Pi 15 W USB-C power supply is the official adapter for the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and Raspberry Pi 400. It provides a steady 5.1 V at 3 A (15.3 W) over a captive USB-C cable.

The slightly raised 5.1 V is deliberate — it offsets the small voltage drop along the cable so the board still receives a full 5 V under load. That is what keeps the low-voltage lightning-bolt warning off your screen, and with it the random reboots and SD-card corruption that follow. The 1.5 m 18 AWG cable uses thick conductors for exactly the same reason.
