Overview

A printer cable is the sort of thing you only think about when it fails. This one is built so it does not: a nylon braided USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B cord with reinforced joints rated for more than 20,000 bends and a ferrite core to keep the signal clean.

The ferrite bead is the part that matters for reliability. By suppressing high-frequency noise it minimises signal loss, which means error-free transfer at up to 480 Mbps — crisp prints, complete scans and stable serial connections while programming an Arduino.

At 4.6 ft (140 cm) it reaches comfortably across a desk or home office without leaving a heap of slack, making it a good replacement for the short cable that came in the printer box.
